Jute is a stiffer and sturdier material in comparison to its cotton and canvas bag counterparts and whilst not machine washable, the material is darker and doesn’t get dirty as quickly. It is also easy to wipe down with a cloth or a sponge. Most of our jute bags come with an internal lamination to reduce moisture being absorbed into the jute fabric. Jute is a long, plant fiber that is spun into coarse, strong threads resulting in a naturally beautiful and durable material for bags. It is one of the most economical natural fibers, it is bio-degradable and little or no hazardous chemicals are used in its growth or manufacture.

Simple designs in black and bold colours print beautifully on jute, but intricate designs may not print as well onto the courser and darker material. Jute bags are more likely to stand up on their own and hold their shape making a great shopping bag or grocery bag.
